  independent Black republic\, Haiti has also long suffered poverty and did
  not have the infrastructure to cope with the disaster.\n\nMany of us in
  Detroit are wondering how we can help the 3 million people who have been
  devastated and displaced.\n\nLouis Delmas of the Detroit Lions would like

  both the immediate relief efforts and the long-term recovery and
